Ty Gwyn Special School
Completed in time for the new school year, this £16 million project provides state of the art facilities for 150 severely disabled pupils, aged 3 - 19. MFS supplied fire detection, intruder, CCTV, access, nurse call and induction loop systems.
Part of the government's Building Schools for the Future project, MFS were delighted to be involved in this prestigious local development, providing fire detection, disabled refuge and WC, PA and induction loop systems. Some 1300 students are now benefiting from a learning environment that utilises contemporary design and leading technological innovation.
Redland Green School
MFS are delighted to be associated with the flagship Redland Green School in Bristol, which opened its doors to some 1400 students in September 2007. MFS designed, supplied, installed, commissioned and now maintain a fully integrated fire alarm system at this site.
Mat Fire Systems designed, supplied and commissioned the fire alarm and detection system for this brand new comprehensive school built under the Private Funding Initiative in the heart of the Maesteg community.
As well as maintaining a large number of commercially managed residential developments, MFS have also supplied, installed and commissioned fire and access systems across the region.
The Temple Bridge waterfront complex is located in the very heart of Bristol. It comprises a total of 22 one and two bedroom apartments, including two luxury penthouse apartments on the sixth floor. MFS supplied, installed and commissioned the fire detection system and the apartment video entry system.
The Port Marine development in Bristol is a fine example of the regeneration of a city brownfield site. MFS supplied, commissioned and now maintain fire detection systems of varying complexity throughout the prestigious Port Marine residential development.

John Lewis Partnership
This prestigious new 280,000 square foot store is the latest major fire detection and alarm project brought to fruition by Bristol based Mat Fire Systems. The Cardiff store is the second largest John Lewis branch in the UK, and the largest outside London; and presented all the challenges associated with a retail environment in the heart of a new city shopping complex.
Aardman Animations, the internationally renowned and recognised Bristol company, recently moved into a brand new 34,000 sq ft headquarters building. MFS designed, supplied, installed and commissioned the fire detection and alarm systems, along with gas extinguishant, disabled refuge and induction loop systems.
An imaginative mix of business park, livestock market and rural conference venue; Junction24 in the heart of Somerset presented its own unique challenges as a design, supply, install and commission project.

INTO Student Accommodation, Exeter
Opened in 2011, INTO Exeter is the latest example of MFS expertise in action meeting the needs of the modern day student. MFS supplied and commissioned Fire detection and alarm systems, including facilities for disabled students.
Winchester Student Accommodation
Opened in September 2010. Queens Road Student Village is an excellent example of modern day student accommodation. MFS supplied, installed and commissioned the fire detection systems for all seven blocks
Newport Opal Student Accommodation
Completed in time for the 2008 student intake, MFS supplied and commissioned the fire detection and alarm system for this brand new student accommodation block, housing up to 440 students in a mix of multi occupant apartments and studio accommodation. Our support continues, providing full maintenance cover for the fire alarm system.
Cardiff Student Accommodation
Fire detection and alarm systems were supplied to two city centre student accommodation developments in the Welsh capital city of Cardiff. MFS now maintain not only the fire alarm system but also the emergency lighting system at both sites.
The healthcare environment presents a varied and complex range of buildings and facilities, each of which carries its own unique protection requirement. MFS have developed an expertise in the complex cause and effects programming that such projects may require, as well as an in-depth understanding of the critical nature of many of these environments.
Cambrian Green Court
Cambrian Green Court is the first of three planned extra care housing developments to be completed by S Gloucestershire Council. Mat Fire Systems provided Intruder, Audio Entry, Staff Attack and Disabled Refuge systems for the project.
National Blood Service, Filton
This state-of-the art blood centre was billed as 'The world's biggest blood processing centre'. MFS supplied, installed and commissioned a fully integrated, complex fire detection and PA/VA system, and following successful completion, MFS continue their association with this unit, providing full maintenance support of the fire alarm system.
Brocastle Manor Care Home
Set within the grounds of an historical manor house, this site provides luxury apartments and amenities for the over 55's alongside a 78 bed nursing home complex which includes the provision of specialist EMI care. Mat Fire Systems supplied and commissioned fire detection systems across the site.
Bath Community Resource Centre
MFS supplied and commissioned a Fire Alarm & Detection system at Cleeve Court, the first of 3 Community Resource Centres being developed by B&NES council. Following successful completion of the project, MFS was delighted to be given the opportunity to continue the work at the second site, based in Midsomer Norton
Midsomer Norton Community Resource Centre
The second Community Resource Centre to be developed by B&NES provides a mix of care and support for the elderly in Midsomer Norton. MFS designed, supplied and commissioned the fire detection system.
Hawthorn Community Resource Centre
The third community resource centre to be developed by B&NES, Mat Fire Systems once again designed, supplied and commissioned the fire alarm and detection system for this new resource for the elderly in our community
The Tithe Barn, Nailsea
Nailsea Tithe Barn dates from 1480. Used as a school from 1789, it has now been fully restored to its medieval origins. MFS provided fire alarm, induction loop and intruder systems in a project sensitive to its historic surroundings.
Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Devonport Regeneration Community Partnership, this brand new pavilion is located in the heart of Devonport Park, Plymouth. MFS supplied and commissioned the fire detection and alarm system
Pomphrey Hill Sports Pavilion
MFS is a staunch supporter of local football, through its' association with Bristol City FC as well as a local junior team. We were therefore delighted to be able to participate in the Pomphrey Hill Sports Pavilion project. The pavilion is a community facility funded by S Gloucestershire Council and the Football Foundation, and provides a much needed facility for the area. MFS involvement included fire detection, intruder, access and CCTV systems.
Horfield Leisure Centre
MFS are proud to be associated with the fire detection and alarm system, PA system, induction loops and disabled/pool alarm system in Horsfield's new leisure complex. The complex includes two pools with spectator seating for 250, a state of the art fitness suite, an exercise studio, sports hall and squash courts.
